What we do
Active ingredients and intermediates.
API capability held within the group changes what the rest of the chain can promise. It shortens qualification, removes a commercial layer, and makes a raw-material problem visible before it becomes a shortage.
Capability
What the API operation does.
Active ingredients & intermediates
Manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients and pharmaceutical intermediates, supporting both the group’s own finished-dose portfolio and external supply.
Custom synthesis
Route design and synthesis to customer specification, including molecules where an alternative or additional qualified source is the commercial objective.
Process development & optimisation
Development and refinement of manufacturing routes for yield, impurity profile, cost and robustness — the work that determines whether a molecule is viable at commercial scale.
Scale-up & technology transfer
Movement from laboratory through pilot to commercial scale, with the documentation set a receiving site or a regulatory filing requires.
Why it matters
Three things an in-group API changes.
Continuity of supply
A finished-dose programme is only as reliable as its weakest input. Where the API sits inside the group, allocation decisions, capacity planning and campaign scheduling are made against our own commitments rather than a third party’s priorities.
Alternate-source development
Single-source dependency is one of the most common causes of shortage. We develop and qualify additional sources for selected molecules, which is slow, unglamorous work and the reason a supply commitment can be honoured when one route fails.
Cost that holds at landed price
Integration allows the cost of the input and the cost of the finished dose to be optimised together. That is what makes a landed price competitive at sustainable volume rather than at an introductory one.
Working with us
What a customer receives.
| Development support | Route evaluation, feasibility assessment and process development against your specification and target cost. |
|---|---|
| Analytical | Method development and validation to recognised pharmacopoeial standards, with stability programmes as required. |
| Documentation | Batch records, specifications, method validation reports and the technical files needed to support your own regulatory filings. |
| Transfer | Technology transfer packages for receiving sites, including process description, control strategy and known critical parameters. |
| Audit | We support customer audits, technical due diligence and regulatory documentation requests. |

Have a molecule in mind?
Tell us the molecule, the volume and the market it is destined for, and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right source.
